What's Train the Painter?

Train the Painter is the world's leading painting and blasting industrial paint training program thats fully accredited by Lloyd's Register.

The training has been developed by paint industry experts at Corrodere Academy in response to the strong demand for certification within the industrial coatings industry that now requires personnel working within the road, rail, renewables and oil and gas industries to obtain professional specified certificates.

Train the Painter has three core modules including;

• Protective Coatings Applicator
• Abrasive Blast Cleaner
• Spray Painter

Delegates will be awarded with either an *Orange, Bronze, Silver or Gold card depending on the modules completed and experience already gained in the protective coatings industry. *Orange will be assigned to trainee students who are new to the coatings industry with less than 1600 hours of industrial painting experience in order to comply with safety on work site and Train the Painter guidelines.

5. Operational Procedures for Abrasive Blasting
6. Process Control

Prerequisites

In order to attend and complete the Train the Painter - Abrasive Blast Cleaner module delegates must;

• Hold at least a Train the Painter Bronze Card

• Be at least 18 years old
• Have worked in the protective coatings industry as a spray painter for more than 800 hours OR have worked as a abrasive blast cleaning operator for more than 800 hours.

Route to TTP Bronze card - You must complete the Protective Coatings Applicator training.

Route to TTP Silver card - You must complete Protective Coatings Applicator AND Abrasive Blast Cleaner OR Spray Painter training.
