Coating Supervision

Industrial coating projects require precision, expert knowledge and practical experience. From the initial inspection to the final sign-off, our coating supervisors are at your service. Their diligent approach to quality control and process means that your coatings last longer. And save your business from costly re-work mistakes.

Dangle’s carefully vetted team relies on the expertise of NACE Level 3 Inspectors. The National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) sets the benchmarks in industrial coatings. Their training programmes are recognised around the world. This makes NACE Level 3 an essential part of any coating team.

Coating supervisors must have a thorough understanding of corrosion control. Not to mention, paint inspections and project management. They’ll oversee and direct the on-site team, sticking to deadlines and budgets. They’ll also take care of troubleshooting, as needed.

We also have painting supervisors with Institute of Corrosion (ICORR) Level 3 qualifications. ICORR Painting Inspectors (Level 3) are skilled in quality assurance, specification analysis and procedure writing, with a specialist focus on offshore and marine environments.

Surface preparation is key to creating successful outcomes, along with cleanliness and safety. Understanding the impact of preparation, coating mixtures and test instruments are also crucial. With NACE Level 3 and ICORR Level 3 qualifications, our teams can meet all of these requirements.

Coatings should be long-lasting and compliant with industry regulations. For this, you need attention to detail. Each project should start with an initial coating survey, often called a General Visual Inspection (GVI) or Close Visual Inspection (CVI). It can reference industry ISO standards, analysis of the paint conditions and measurement of the site (and more). This lays the foundation for a successful outcome.

Paint specification writing is the next step. This essential document clearly lays out what needs to be done and how. Such as the maximum interval between surface preparation and priming. Or the types of paint and coatings to be used. As well as the number and thickness of coats, intervals between paint layers, environmental conditions and so on. Our ICORR and NACE level 3 inspectors are the logical choice for these tasks.

After project completion, coating supervisors can also help you draw up inspection maintenance plans. This preserves the integrity and appearance of your building or structure and maybe needed to be fully compliant with ISO 55000.

We can provide coating and painting supervision for all types of projects. Using accredited paint management processes, Dangle can record and monitor a wide range of daily activities. So you can be sure that all work conforms to industry safety and quality standards. Not only will you achieve better outcomes, but your team will function more smoothly too.

Dangle is an award-winning, family-run business. Our company size and structure helps us to offer a flexible and tailored approach. Something that wouldn’t be possible for most larger companies. As well as many years of industrial access, coatings and composite (IACC) experience, our team includes experienced rope access technicians. This means we can access difficult-to-reach areas quickly and safely. We’ll always integrate seamlessly with your teams to come up with the best possible solutions for you.
